Buying car parts from Dubai for Jordan
Updated
The quick answer
Buyers in Jordan can get car parts from UAE stock and the Sharjah and Dubai parts markets by sending the part, its number or the VIN on WhatsApp; a person replies with a quote. Your own cargo agent collects in Dubai and moves the parts on, because Easy Auto does not ship abroad. Jordan charges a 16 percent general sales tax on imports plus customs duty by tariff line, and a licensed Jordanian agent files the declaration. Check the rule for used parts with that agent before ordering any.
Key facts

- Jordan charges a 16 percent general sales tax on imports and customs duty set by HS tariff line, according to PwC's Jordan tax summary reviewed in July 2026.
- A licensed Jordanian forwarding agent files the customs declaration electronically, with a commercial invoice and packing list; a certificate of origin is common but not required.
- Aqaba is Jordan's only seaport, and its container terminal handled 107,803 TEU across 53 vessels in September 2026, the terminal operator reports.

- The road crossing to Iraq is Karameh, called Turaibil on the Iraqi side, about 320 km from Amman and 575 km from Baghdad.
- We could not confirm Jordan's rule on used car parts from a source we trust, so ask your Jordanian agent before ordering any used part.

Jordan is a smaller lane than its neighbours, and a corridor
Jordan is an established buyer of UAE vehicle goods. TradingEconomics, citing United Nations Comtrade, shows UAE exports of vehicles to Jordan of USD 918.09 million in 2024. Motor cars were USD 746.21 million of that and parts and accessories were USD 52.60 million, about 6 percent of the total. Parts are a small slice next to the cars, and the lane is roughly one fifteenth the size of Saudi Arabia's USD 798 million.
That makes Jordan a smaller lane for single parts than its neighbours. The cars arrive in volume, and cars need parts for years afterwards. Jordan's own new-vehicle market is small, 38,505 units in 2025, so demand for parts for older Japanese and Korean cars comes from the cars already on the road, not from new sales.
Jordan also sits on the road to Iraq. The US Commerce Department's market overview, updated in February 2026, describes Jordan as a platform for firms supplying regional markets or seeking access to the Iraqi market. For a buyer in Jordan that matters mainly when an order is part of a larger load that continues to Iraq, which is covered on our Iraq page.
What Jordan drives, and which parts that points to
Best Selling Cars Blog recorded 38,505 new vehicles in Jordan in 2025, down 1.1 percent. Toyota rose from a 32.5 to a 34.5 percent share, Kia fell from 27.2 to 18.8 percent, and Isuzu, Hyundai and Lexus took third to fifth place. The Toyota Hilux jumped to first place in the model ranking with growth of 127 percent, the Land Cruiser was second and the Land Cruiser pickup third.
The first half of 2026 was weaker. The same source counted 15,529 new light vehicles, down 11.7 percent, with Toyota at 32.7 percent and Kia at 18.5 percent. The Hilux took first place with a 9.5 percent share, the Kia Frontier was second and the Land Cruiser station wagon third. A quieter new-car market tends to keep older cars on the road longer.
In practice that points to Toyota pickups and Land Cruisers, Kia and Hyundai cars, Isuzu pickups and Lexus. Our make pages list UAE shops that supply each of these, and the Hilux export page covers the pickup in detail. Send the VIN with every request, because engines and trims differ inside one model.
How a part reaches Jordan from Dubai
Easy Auto does not ship abroad. A part is quoted on WhatsApp, and your cargo agent or forwarder collects it in Dubai and moves it on. Jordan has no border with the UAE, so a truck crosses Saudi Arabia first and then enters Jordan at one of the three official crossings, Umari, Mudawwara or Durra. Your forwarder arranges the transit through Saudi Arabia and tells you which papers it needs from the seller.
The sea route ends at Aqaba, Jordan's only port. The Aqaba Container Terminal says it is the gateway for import and export cargo between the Levant and the rest of the world, and reports handling 107,803 TEU across 53 vessels in September 2026. A development agreement with APM Terminals, signed in 2006, covers the terminal. The forwarder picks the line and routing, and we do not quote sailing times.
Air freight suits small valuable parts. DHL Express's 2026 UAE rate guide places Jordan in Zone 3, the same band as Iraq, with a list price of AED 1,980.43 for a 12 kg parcel before fuel surcharge, duty and tax. Heavy or bulky parts rarely make sense by air, which is why engines, gearboxes and mixed pallets are usually left to road or sea.
What Jordan charges and the paperwork it asks for
Two charges apply to a trade shipment. PwC's Jordan tax summary, reviewed in July 2026, says a general sales tax operating like VAT is charged at 16 percent on sales and on imports, and that customs duties vary by the type and origin of the goods under a tariff based on the HS nomenclature. Jordan's customs department publishes its integrated tariff system online, so your agent can read the duty for each part's code. We give no single duty figure.
The US Commerce Department's guide to Jordan, updated in February 2026, lists a commercial invoice, an airway bill for air freight, a packing list and an electronic customs declaration filed by an authorised Jordanian forwarding agent. Invoices need not be in Arabic, but the importer must supply an Arabic translation. A certificate of origin is not required, though it is common practice. Ask your agent what the invoice must say before the parts are quoted, not after.
| Item | What applies | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| General sales tax | 16 percent on imports | PwC Tax Summaries, reviewed July 2026 |
| Customs duty | By HS tariff line | PwC; the customs department's online tariff |
| Customs declaration | Filed electronically by a licensed forwarding agent | US Commerce Department guide, February 2026 |
| Invoice | Commercial invoice, with an Arabic translation from the importer | US Commerce Department guide, February 2026 |
| Certificate of origin | Not required, common practice | US Commerce Department guide, February 2026 |
Used parts: what we could not confirm
We looked for Jordan's rule on importing used car parts in the sources we trust, and did not find one we can quote. The US Commerce Department's Jordan guides do not cover it, and the customs department's website is in Arabic only, with no English description of the rule. It does list a car parts system among its online services, which suggests car parts get specific attention at the border, but we could not read what it requires.
So this page states no rule for used parts. Ask your Jordanian clearing agent for the written position on the exact part before you order: an engine, a gearbox, a body panel or an electronic unit may each be treated differently. New and aftermarket parts are the simpler first order, and a person on the parts desk will say plainly when a used part is something your agent should confirm first.
Jordan as the road to Iraq
Some orders that start in Jordan continue to Iraq. The road crossing is Karameh, called Turaibil on the Iraqi side, about 320 km from Amman and 575 km from Baghdad, and it opened in 1991. A load that continues across it is governed by Iraq's rules on arrival, including the conformity certificate for new parts and the 2026 customs changes described on our Iraq page.
Say at the start if the parts are for Jordan or for onward movement to Iraq, because the paperwork differs and the Jordanian agent needs to know. We supply parts for vehicles in the country named in the first message, and we do not supply parts for onward movement to any destination we refuse to serve.
What to send us on WhatsApp for a Jordan order
Send a photo of the old part, the part number if you have it, the VIN or a photo of the registration card, and the make, model and year. Say Jordan in your first message and name the city, Amman or Aqaba or elsewhere, and say whether you want new, used, rebuilt or aftermarket. Give the name of your cargo agent in Dubai if you have one.
A person replies with a quote and confirms how to pay on WhatsApp. A garage or parts shop that buys every month, or wants parts from several UAE suppliers in one load, can ask for the trader route and have the agent consolidate in Dubai.
UAE parts shops that export
These shops are here because our record of each one lists exporting, sending parts outside the UAE, among what it offers. It is a record of what they told us or published, not a check that they send parts to Jordan today or of what is on the shelf, and none of them has paid to be here. Ask how the part reaches you, and who handles the export paperwork, before you pay.

Questions buyers ask
- Can I import used car parts from Dubai into Jordan?
- We could not confirm Jordan's rule on used car parts from a source we trust, so we do not state one. Ask your Jordanian clearing agent for the written position on the exact part, such as an engine or a gearbox, before ordering. New and aftermarket parts are the simpler first order.
- How much tax will I pay on car parts imported into Jordan?
- PwC's Jordan summary, reviewed in July 2026, gives a general sales tax of 16 percent on imports, plus customs duty that depends on the part's HS tariff line. Your clearing agent reads the duty for each part from the customs department's tariff system and confirms the total before you commit to the order.
- Does Easy Auto deliver car parts to Amman or Aqaba?
- No. Easy Auto does not ship abroad. A person quotes the part on WhatsApp, and your cargo agent or forwarder collects it in Dubai and moves it on. A licensed Jordanian forwarding agent then files the customs declaration for the buyer, who is the importer.
- How do car parts get from Dubai to Jordan?
- By road across Saudi Arabia, by sea to Aqaba, or by air. Jordan has no border with the UAE, so trucks cross Saudi Arabia and enter at Umari, Mudawwara or Durra. Your forwarder picks the route and tells you which papers it needs. We do not promise transit times.
- How do I pay for car parts from Dubai if I am in Jordan?
- A person confirms how to pay on WhatsApp once you have a quote. We do not list payment methods on this page. Treat payment details that arrive from another number as a warning sign, and check them on the number you first used before you send anything.
- Can I order parts in Jordan that will go on to Iraq?
- Say so in your first message. A load that continues to Iraq is governed by Iraq's rules on arrival, including the conformity certificate for new parts, and the Jordanian agent needs to know the final destination. We supply parts for vehicles in the country you name and nothing for destinations we refuse to serve.
- Which car makes can you find parts for in Jordan?
- Toyota leads, with 34.5 percent of Jordan's 2025 new-vehicle sales and the Hilux and Land Cruiser at the top of the model list. The parts desk also quotes for Kia, Hyundai, Isuzu and Lexus. Send the VIN so the part is matched to your exact engine and trim.
