Kia parts from Dubai for export: Frontier, Sorento, Sportage, Cerato, Pegas
Updated
The quick answer
Buyers abroad can order new Kia parts by the list: Frontier pickups and Sorento and Sportage SUVs for Iraq, the Pegas for Saudi Arabia, the Cerato for Egypt. A person checks UAE distributors and aftermarket lines, names the grade of each line, genuine, OE-brand or quality aftermarket, and quotes on WhatsApp. Your cargo agent collects in Dubai. The VIN and the engine code on the plate settle the fit, because one Kia badge carries several engines.
Key facts
- Iraq 2024: Kia took 23.5 percent of 161,404 new light vehicles, and the Hilux ended ten years of Frontier leadership.
- Iraq 2025: the Frontier returned to first place with 11.1 percent of 160,737 new vehicles, ahead of the Hilux at 8.7 percent, and Kia took 28 percent.
- Iraq, first half of 2026: the market fell 26.4 percent to 59,006 vehicles, Kia stayed first at 28.1 percent and the Hilux passed the Frontier.
- Saudi Arabia 2025: Kia held 7.8 percent of 857,247 new vehicles, and the Pegas was the fifth best-selling model.
- The Pegas is a small sedan built in China by Yueda Kia with a 1.4 litre engine, sold under that name in parts of the Middle East.
- The Frontier belongs to Kia's Bongo truck family; a 2014 update added a 2.5 litre turbo diesel and kept the 2.7 and 3.0 litre engines.
- Egypt: Kia took 956 of 11,851 new private-car licences in June 2024, third behind Hyundai and Nissan, according to a blog citing the insurance pool.

Which Kia models do buyers abroad ask for?
Five Kia names carry most of the export interest: the Frontier pickup, the Sorento and Sportage SUVs, the Cerato saloon and the Pegas, a small sedan. They belong to different markets, so this page splits them by country instead of treating Kia as one catalogue. The Frontier and the two SUVs are an Iraq story, the Pegas is a Saudi story and the Cerato follows Egypt. Madagascar is the odd one out, an island that drives on the right and buys Korean cars.
| Model | What it is | Where the evidence points |
|---|---|---|
| Frontier | Pickup truck from Kia's Bongo family | Iraq: 32.1 percent of the 2017 market, and number one again in 2025 at 11.1 percent |
| Sorento | SUV, four generations since 2002 | Iraq: third place in 2025, up 26.2 percent |
| Sportage | SUV, sold in Iraq alongside the Sorento | Iraq: fifth place in 2025, up 34.9 percent, and third in the first half of 2026 |
| Cerato | Saloon, called Forte or K3 in other markets | Egypt and the Middle East, where the Cerato name was kept |
| Pegas | Small sedan built in China | Saudi Arabia: fifth best-selling model of 2025 |
Why is the Frontier an Iraq story, and did it really lose?
Best Selling Cars Blog reported that the Frontier took 32.1 percent of Iraq's 33,825 new vehicles in 2017, one in three sold. It then led the model table every year from 2014, the earliest year in that report's data, until 2024. That year the market grew 28.8 percent to 161,404 vehicles, Toyota rose to 29.3 percent, Kia slipped to 23.5 from 26.7, and the Hilux took first place with sales up 49.1 percent.
The 2024 result did not last. The full-year 2025 report says the market was flat at 160,737 vehicles, Kia rose to 28 percent and regained the top brand place, Toyota fell to 20.7, and the Frontier returned to first place with 11.1 percent against the Hilux's 8.7. The Sorento was third and the Sportage fifth. In the first half of 2026 the market fell 26.4 percent to 59,006 vehicles, Kia stayed first at 28.1 percent, and the Hilux passed the Frontier again.
The lead has changed hands three times since 2023, so a buyer should stock by the engines and VINs of the trucks on the road, not by one year's table. Iraq had 8,287,604 registered vehicles at the end of 2024, according to the Ministry of Planning, and about 200,000 arrive each year. Our reading, not a measured parts figure: a Frontier sold at the 2017 peak is now nine years old, an age at which brakes, suspension and cooling parts have been replaced at least once. Iraq's rules and routes are on the Iraq page.
Which engines can a Frontier carry, and what must an order name?
The Frontier belongs to Kia's Bongo family of rear-wheel-drive trucks. Wikipedia dates the third generation, the Bongo Frontier, from April 1997, with a 2.7 litre JS engine and an optional 3.0 litre JT. The Bongo III followed in 2005 with a common-rail option, and a 2014 update added a 2.5 litre turbo diesel, kept the 2.7 and 3.0 litre engines on offer and brought a six-speed gearbox.
Iraqi sales reports say only Frontier, and our research notes call the Iraqi truck the K2700, so the badge alone does not tell a parts desk which engine sits under the cab. An order should name the engine code from the engine plate, the gearbox, the cab and body type and the month and year of build. Send the VIN too; a person matches the new part to that, not to the name.
| Generation | Years | Engines named |
|---|---|---|
| Third, Bongo Frontier | From April 1997; facelift in 2000 | 2.7 litre JS (80 PS); optional 3.0 litre JT (90 PS) |
| Fourth, Bongo III | From 2005; update in 2014 | Common-rail option; 2.5 litre turbo (130 PS), 2.7 litre (80 PS) and 3.0 litre in 2014 |
| Names in other markets | 2005 to 2019 | K2700 in the Philippines from May 2005 to August 2018, then the K2500 |
Sorento, Sportage and Cerato: engines by generation
Wikipedia's Sorento article lists the second generation, the XM of 2009, with 2.4 litre petrol fours, 3.3 and 3.5 litre V6 petrols and 2.0 and 2.2 litre R II diesels. The third generation, the UM of 2014, adds a 2.0 litre turbo petrol. The fourth, the MQ4 of 2020, moves to 2.5 litre petrols and a 3.5 litre V6, and the Gulf launch in March 2021 offered the 2.5 and the 3.5.
The Sportage follows a similar pattern. The SL, built from March 2010 to August 2015, used 2.0 and 2.4 litre Theta II petrols and a 2.0 litre R diesel coded D4HA. The QL, from September 2015 to 2021, added a 1.6 litre Gamma and a 2.0 litre Nu. The Cerato's second generation launched in late 2008 as the Forte and kept the Cerato name in the Middle East; the article lists no engines for it, so the engine code must come from the owner.
| Model and generation | Built | Engines named |
|---|---|---|
| Sorento XM | From 2009 | 2.4 Theta II; 3.3 and 3.5 Lambda II V6; 2.0 and 2.2 R II CRDi diesels |
| Sorento UM | From 2014 | 2.0 Theta II turbo; 2.4; 3.3 and 3.5 V6; 2.0 and 2.2 diesels |
| Sorento MQ4 | From 2020 | 2.5 Smartstream; 3.5 V6; 2.2 CRDi; 1.6 turbo hybrid |
| Sportage SL | March 2010 to August 2015 | 1.6 Gamma GDi; 2.0 and 2.4 Theta II; 2.0 R CRDi (D4HA) |
| Sportage QL | September 2015 to 2021 | 1.6 Gamma; 2.0 Nu; 2.4 Theta II; 2.0 R II CRDi |
| Cerato TD | From late 2008 | No engines listed in the article |
The Pegas: a small Chinese-built sedan that Saudi drivers buy
Wikipedia describes the Pegas as a subcompact sedan built in China by the Yueda Kia joint venture since 2017, with plants in Ecuador and Vietnam as well, and sold as the Pegas in China, Africa and parts of the Middle East. Its engine is a 1.4 litre Kappa II four rated at 94 horsepower, with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. It rides on the platform used in the Kia K2, which the same article lists beside the Rio.
In Saudi Arabia in 2025 Kia held 7.8 percent of 857,247 new vehicles, behind Toyota at 28.6 and Hyundai at 15.9, and the Pegas was the fifth best-selling model. Saudi Arabia bans used parts apart from a few certified assemblies, so Pegas owners there buy new service parts: filters, pads, suspension links and belts. A Rio number is a lead, not a match, until a person checks the VIN. Conformity paperwork and the road route are on the Saudi page.
Egypt's Cerato and Madagascar's Korean cars
Egypt bans imports of used cars older than a year, so its parc is locally assembled or new-imported. A count of new private-car licences for June 2024, cited by an Egyptian blog from the insurance pool, put Kia third with 956 of 11,851, behind Hyundai with 1,448 and Nissan with 1,101. Our research lists the Cerato among the staples of that parc but found no share. Our reading is that Egyptian buyers lean to genuine and branded aftermarket parts.
Madagascar's L'Express reported in August 2025 that Hyundai is the most bought brand there and that about 10,000 used Korean vehicles, Hyundai and Kia, arrived each year before the pandemic, against 6,000 European ones. Owners struggle to find parts for older models. In Madagascar's own import statistics the UAE was the third source of vehicle parts in 2023, with 15.3 percent. We found no Kia share, and Madagascar has no page of its own here.
Genuine, OE-brand or quality aftermarket on a Kia
Genuine means Kia-branded. OE-brand means a maker that supplies carmakers and sells under its own name; our research files Mobis, Valeo and Bosch there. Quality aftermarket means branded parts built to fit, such as GMB, NPW, Febest, 555 and CTR. Which grade suits a Frontier on daily work or a private Pegas is the buyer's call, and the quote lets you compare the three side by side.
We did not measure a Kia ladder. The one measured in Dubai on 3 November 2026 covered Toyota parts: a genuine front pad set cost about one and a half times the OE-brand set and several times a budget set. Read that as the shape of the market, not as a Kia price. A budget listing can use the word genuine too, so ask for a photograph of the part and its number before you pay.
What to send for a Kia quote
Send the VIN, the engine code, the month and year of build and the gearbox. For a Frontier add the cab and body type; for an SUV add the trim and whether it is petrol or diesel. Add a photograph of the old part with any number on it, the quantity for each line, the country and the name of your cargo agent in Dubai. Ask for the whole list in one message, and a person replies line by line with the grade named.
Who you are buying from
- Easy Auto is a UAE-licensed exporter of new car parts, genuine and aftermarket, quoted from Dubai.
- A person quotes every export order on WhatsApp, line by line, with each part's grade named: genuine, OE-brand or aftermarket.
- We quote export orders by the list, at trade quantities, not one or two pieces.
- New parts only. We do not supply used parts, half-cuts or rebuilt engines.
- Your own cargo agent or forwarder collects the parts in Dubai and ships them on. We do not ship abroad, book destination inspections or clear customs at your end.
- Before you pay, ask for photos of the parts with their part numbers in view.
UAE parts shops that export
These shops are here because our record of each one lists exporting, sending parts outside the UAE, among what it offers, and names Kia among the makes it covers. It is a record of what they told us or published, not a check that they send parts to your country today or of what is on the shelf, and none of them has paid to be here. Ask how the part reaches you, and who handles the export paperwork, before you pay.

Questions buyers ask
- Is the Kia Frontier the same truck as the Kia Bongo?
- The Frontier belongs to Kia's Bongo truck family. Wikipedia says the Frontier name is used in some markets and lists K2400, K2500 and K2700 as other names, and Iraqi sales reports use Frontier alone. Because the name changes by market and year, send the VIN and the engine code from the plate, not only the badge, and a person checks the part.
- Did Toyota overtake Kia in Iraq?
- Only in 2024, when Toyota took 29.3 percent against Kia's 23.5 and the Hilux passed the Frontier. In 2025 Kia took 28 percent against Toyota's 20.7 and the Frontier returned to first. In the first half of 2026 Kia still led brands at 28.1 percent, while the Hilux moved ahead of the Frontier again. One season is not a trend.
- Which engines does the Kia Sorento use?
- It depends on the generation. The 2009 XM carries 2.4 litre petrol, 3.3 and 3.5 litre V6 and 2.0 or 2.2 litre diesels. The 2014 UM adds a 2.0 litre turbo. The 2020 MQ4 uses 2.5 litre petrol, a 3.5 V6 and a 2.2 diesel, and the Gulf got the 2.5 and 3.5 petrols. Send the engine code to be sure.
- Do Kia Rio parts fit the Pegas?
- Not automatically. Wikipedia says the Pegas uses the platform of the Kia K2, which it lists beside the Rio, but a shared platform does not make every part interchangeable. The Pegas has a 1.4 litre Kappa II engine and is built in China. Send the VIN and a person checks each part number before quoting.
- Do you export genuine Kia parts?
- We quote genuine Kia parts when a UAE distributor lists the number, and each quote names the grade line by line. We claim no stock level and show no price here; a person checks your list on WhatsApp. If a line is only available as OE-brand or aftermarket, the quote says so instead of calling it genuine.
- Can I order Kia parts for a truck in Madagascar?
- Yes, send the list in English on WhatsApp with the VIN and engine code. Madagascar has no page here, so we have not researched its rules for parts, and your clearing agent confirms what your country asks for. Your cargo agent collects the parts in Dubai. The UAE already ranks third among Madagascar's sources of vehicle parts.
- Is the Cerato sold in Egypt the same as the Forte?
- The second-generation Cerato launched in Korea in late 2008 as the Forte, and the Cerato name was kept in markets including the Middle East, according to Wikipedia. The Forte badge is used in some other markets, so the engine code and the VIN settle the fit, not the name.
