BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, X3 and X5 parts from Dubai for export
Updated
The quick answer
Trade buyers in Georgia and Iraq can send a list of new parts for 3 Series, 5 Series, X3 and X5 cars, with the VIN and the BMW part number on each line. A person quotes line by line and names the grade: genuine BMW, OE-brand from makers such as Bosch, Mahle, Lemförder and Valeo, or quality aftermarket. Your own cargo agent collects in Dubai. We quote by the list, never one or two parts.
Key facts
- Georgia counted 85,818 BMWs among 1,912,866 registered cars in May 2025, 4.5 percent, which makes BMW the sixth make there, behind Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Ford, VAZ and Opel.
- BMW is named in 11 of the 97 clear export enquiries we logged from July to 2 November 2026, level with Hyundai and behind only Toyota's 20.
- The N52 petrol six, 2.5 or 3.0 litres, was built from 2004 to 2015 and sits in the E90 3 Series, E60 5 Series, E83 X3 and E70 X5.
- BMW part numbers run to eleven digits and the first two give the system: 11 engine, 12 engine electrical, 13 fuel preparation, 34 brakes, 63 lighting.
- Wikipedia lists eleven assembly plants for the 2017 to 2024 G01 X3, from South Carolina to Vietnam, so the VIN matters more than the badge.
- The Dubai price ladder we measured on 3 November 2026 was for Toyota parts, not BMW: OE-brand about two-thirds of genuine, quality aftermarket about 55 to 58 percent.
- We quote BMW parts only for cars that stay in the buyer's country; a Georgian order for a car bound for Russia, Belarus or Central Asia is declined.
- Iraq has required a certificate of conformity with each consignment of regulated goods, vehicle spare parts included, since 1 January 2020.

Which BMW generations and engine codes do buyers abroad drive?
The BMW codes in our enquiries run from the E46 to the G70, most of them from an Iraqi trader's list and the rest from single enquiries in Georgia, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and elsewhere. For a trade order the useful cars are the 3 Series, 5 Series, X3 and X5, set out below by chassis code. Wikipedia dates the E90 3 Series from 2004, the E60 5 Series from 2003 and the F30 from 2011. Our enquiries name the N52 engine twice, once from Iraq and once from Georgia.
The engine decides the parts more than the badge does. Wikipedia's N52 article describes a six-cylinder petrol engine built from 2004 to 2015, in 2.5 and 3.0 litre sizes, with Valvetronic lift, double-VANOS timing, an electric water pump and a variable-output oil pump. The N20 turbocharged four-cylinder ran from 2011 and began giving way to the B48 in 2014. The 3.0 litre N55 ran from 2009 to 2021, and the B58 arrived in 2015.
| Model | Chassis codes | Years | Engines named |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 Series | E90, E91, E92, E93 | 2004 to 2013 | N52 six-cylinder in the 325i, 330i and, in some markets, the 328i |
| 3 Series | F30, F31 | 2011 to 2019 | N20 four-cylinder in the 328i, N55 six-cylinder in the 335i |
| 3 Series | G20, G21 | 2018 onward | B58 six-cylinder in the M340i |
| 5 Series | E60, E61 | 2003 to 2010 | N52 in the 523i, 525i, 528i and 530i |
| 5 Series | F10, F11 | 2010 to 2017 | N20 in the 528i, N55 in the 535i |
| 5 Series | G30, G31 | 2017 onward | B58 in the 540i |
| X3 | E83 | 2003 to 2010 | N52 in the 2.5si, xDrive25i and 3.0si |
| X3 | F25 | 2010 to 2017 | N20 in the xDrive28i, N55 in the xDrive35i |
| X3 | G01 | 2017 to 2024 | B48 four-cylinder, and the B58 six-cylinder in the M40i |
| X5 | E70 | 2006 onward | N52 in the 3.0si and xDrive30i, N55 in the xDrive35i |
| X5 | F15 | 2013 to 2018 | N55 in the xDrive35i |
| X5 | G05 | 2018 onward | B58 in the xDrive40i |
Where do these cars run, and what do buyers there ask for?
Georgia is the clearest BMW market in the research. The Service Agency counted 1,912,866 registered cars in May 2025, and 85,818 of them, 4.5 percent, were BMWs, sixth after Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Ford, VAZ and Opel. Damaged American cars have been repaired there and sold on since 2006, and the research reads the high rank of Ford, Mercedes and BMW as the mark of that trade. That is an inference and not a count, so we do not claim which BMW models Georgian repair shops buy for.
Our Georgian enquiries are few and specific. Four clear ones arrived between July and early November 2026, one of them for an E83 X3, and across the four the parts named were body panels, cooling, engine and gearbox. An earlier request asked for an N52 water pump by part number. A buyer who already knows the number is the easiest to quote, because the line either matches the car or it does not.
In Iraq the buyer is more often a trader. Four of the eight clear Iraqi enquiries came from traders and two of the eight named BMW. Taken together the traders' lists cover BMW and Mercedes headlights, wiper motors, drive shafts and bumpers, with the bumpers and lights taken from handwritten sheets. A list like that is the order we quote: one line per part number, with the grade, the brand and the quantity written against it.
Iraq has required a certificate of conformity with each consignment of regulated goods since 1 January 2020, and Intertek lists vehicle spare parts among them. Customs duty is now charged by HS code, and invoices need a detailed description and the correct code on every line. Decision 957 sets duty between 0.5 and 30 percent, publishes no parts rate in the report we read and is being challenged, so your Iraqi broker confirms the duty on each BMW line.
Which new BMW parts do trade buyers order, system by system?
BMW numbers its whole catalogue one way. A part number is eleven digits: two for the main group, two for the subgroup and seven that identify the part, sometimes followed by a hyphen and a two-digit index that records a revision. The main group is the quickest way to sort a long list, and the table below uses the groups that BMW enthusiast references publish.
A list for these cars can hold two kinds of line, quoted together: collision and body parts, and wear parts such as brake pads and discs, control arms and bushings, ignition coils and filters. Radiators and expansion tanks are asked for too, and the desk reads their group from the number you send. Airbag modules and belt pretensioners, which a crash repair needs, are outside our export quotes, and so are batteries, fluids and gas-filled shock absorbers.
| System | Main group | New lines we quote |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 11 | Gasket and seal sets, timing chain sets, water pumps, thermostat housings |
| Engine electrical | 12 | Ignition coils, spark plugs, starters, alternators |
| Fuel preparation | 13 | Fuel injectors and fuel lines |
| Clutch and drive shaft | 21 and 26 | Clutch kits, release bearings, drive shafts |
| Front suspension | 31 | Control arms, ball joints, bushings, strut mounts |
| Steering | 32 | Tie rods, track rod ends, steering joints |
| Rear suspension | 33 | Trailing arms, bushings, mounts, stabiliser links |
| Brakes | 34 | Pads, discs, wear sensors, caliper kits |
| Bodywork | 41 | Wings, bonnets, doors, panel sections |
| Trim and fittings | 51 | Bumper covers, grilles, mouldings, interior fittings |
| Body electrical | 61 | Switches, relays, wiper motors |
| Lighting | 63 | Headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps |
| Climate | 64 | Compressors, condensers, blower motors, cabin filters |
Genuine BMW, OE-brand or aftermarket: what changes between them?
Genuine here means a part in BMW's own packaging, bought through the distributor channel. OE-brand means a maker's own box on a part that maker also supplies to carmakers: the research's tier list for the UAE trade names Bosch, Mahle and Valeo, and a parts retailer's brand page says Lemförder supplies BMW and other German makes as original equipment. Quality aftermarket is the independent tier. febi bilstein, for one, calls itself a pioneer of the independent aftermarket and says it aims at alternatives of equal or higher quality to the original parts, which is the company's own claim.
How far apart are they in price? The only Dubai ladder we have measured is on Toyota parts, on 3 November 2026, in dirhams with 5 percent VAT. Front brake pads: genuine from 322 to 399, an OE-brand set at 216. A water pump: genuine 397, quality aftermarket 214 to 229. OE-brand therefore ran near two-thirds of genuine and quality aftermarket near 55 to 58 percent. BMW lines can sit differently, so each quote shows the gap line by line.
Most buyers do not choose a grade in advance: 59 of our 97 clear export enquiries used no grade word at all. Among the two new grades, genuine words appeared in 23 enquiries and aftermarket words in 5, and two of those five rejected aftermarket outright. We therefore open a BMW quote with genuine and OE-brand side by side and add quality aftermarket where the budget calls for it. Filters are where fakes concentrate: AED 2.81 million of the AED 7.46 million of counterfeit parts Al-Futtaim seized in 2024 were oil filters, so ask for the distributor invoice on any genuine filter line.
Are US-spec, GCC-spec and European BMW parts interchangeable?
Not always, and the engine is the first place it shows. Wikipedia's N52 article says Europe moved to the direct-injection N53 from 2007 while the N52 stayed in the United States, Canada, Australia and Malaysia, so a BMW of one year can carry different engines, and different parts, depending on where it was built for. A BMW seen in Georgia may be an American import, a European one or a Gulf-delivery car, and only the VIN and the engine label tell us which.
The X models add a second variable. Wikipedia says the G05 X5 is built mainly at Spartanburg in the United States, with the long-wheelbase G18 built in Shenyang, and it lists eleven plants for the 2017 to 2024 X3, from Greer in South Carolina to Chennai, Rayong and Chu Lai. Same name, same years, different factory. Dealer guides add that US-spec cars may carry other part numbers than their Gulf twins, which is one more reason to send the VIN.
UAE dealer guides describe GCC-spec cars as built for heat and dust: larger radiators, reinforced air-conditioning compressors, stronger filtration and corrosion-resistant undercoating, with kilometre speedometers and Arabic door labels. We found no published list of which BMW parts those differences touch. For cooling, air-conditioning and filter lines a person therefore matches the number to the VIN and does not rely on the model name.
What to send for a BMW quote, and what to check before you pay
Send your list as a sheet or a clear photo, one line per part: the eleven-digit BMW number from the old part or the catalogue, the VIN of the car, the engine code from the engine cover or label, the quantity and the grade you want. Add the chassis code if you know it, such as E90 or F25. A number that ends in a hyphen and two digits carries a revision index. Keep that index on the line, because the desk checks whether a newer one has replaced it.
Before paying, compare the number on the box with the number on your list digit by digit, index included, and check that the brand on the box is the brand written on your quote line. A 528i is a good example of why: the E60 528i carries the N52 and the F10 528i, built from 2012 to 2016, carries the N20, so the engine code on the line matters more than the badge.
Georgian orders carry one extra step. US export controls on Russia and Belarus list most of chapter 87, among them bumpers, other body parts and radiators, so the desk asks where the car is registered and declines any car or consignment bound for Russia, Belarus or Central Asia. Georgia charges 18 percent VAT and duty in a 0, 5 or 12 percent band, and your broker confirms the band for each BMW number.

UAE parts shops that export
These shops are here because our record of each one lists exporting, sending parts outside the UAE, among what it offers, and names Bmw among the makes it covers. It is a record of what they told us or published, not a check that they send parts to your country today or of what is on the shelf, and none of them has paid to be here. Ask how the part reaches you, and who handles the export paperwork, before you pay.

Questions buyers ask
- Which engine does a BMW 528i have?
- It depends on the generation. Wikipedia lists the 528i among the N52 models of the E60 5 Series, and lists the F10 528i, built from 2012 to 2016, with the N20 turbocharged four-cylinder. The badge alone does not settle it, so send the VIN and the engine code from the engine, and a person matches the part to that.
- Do you quote Bosch, Mahle, Lemförder or Valeo parts for BMW?
- We quote the brands that UAE distributors hold and name the brand on each line, so you see whether a line is genuine BMW, OE-brand or quality aftermarket. Whether a given brand is available for your part number is for a person to check on WhatsApp; we do not publish stock. Ask for the brand you want by name.
- Can I buy a single BMW part from you?
- Export orders are quoted by the list, at trade quantities, so one or two parts is not what this desk is built for. Send a list of BMW part numbers with quantities, in a sheet or as a clear photo, and a person quotes every line and names the grade against each.
- What do the first two digits of a BMW part number mean?
- They are the main group, the system the part belongs to: 11 engine, 12 engine electrical, 13 fuel preparation, 31 front suspension, 34 brakes, 63 lighting. The next two digits are the subgroup and seven more identify the part. A hyphen and two digits at the end is a revision index. Keep all eleven digits on your list.
- Which X3 do I have, the E83, F25 or G01?
- By date, per Wikipedia: the E83 ran from August 2003 to August 2010, the F25 from September 2010 to August 2017 and the G01 from August 2017 to August 2024. The cars were assembled at several plants, so the VIN and the build label settle the parts, not the year alone. Send the VIN with the list.
- Will you supply BMW parts for a car that will be re-exported from Georgia?
- No. We quote parts for cars that stay in the buyer's country. The desk asks where the car is registered, and an order for a car or a consignment bound for Russia, Belarus or Central Asia is declined. A repair shop that fixes cars for local owners can quote as normal.
- Are OE-brand parts the same as genuine BMW parts?
- An OE-brand part is made by a company that also supplies the carmaker, but it is sold in the maker's own box rather than BMW's. It costs less than the genuine part, about two-thirds in our Toyota brake pad measurement, not measured on BMW, and carries no BMW name. Each quote line states the grade and the brand.
- Do Georgia and Iraq charge duty on BMW parts?
- Yes. Georgia's revenue service lists VAT of 18 percent and duty bands of 0, 5 or 12 percent, set by the tariff code of each part. Iraq charges duty by HS code under Decision 957, at 0.5 to 30 percent, and requires a certificate of conformity for regulated goods. Your broker confirms both before you pay.
