New diesel injectors, injection pumps and fuel filters from Dubai for export
Updated
The quick answer
We quote new diesel injectors, injection pumps, common-rail parts, fuel filters and petrol injectors by the list, each line graded Genuine, OE-brand or Quality aftermarket and matched to the injector's own part number and code. Fuel and injection parts are among the groups East African buyers name most often in our enquiries. We do not supply fuel and we quote no rebuilt injectors or pumps. Your cargo agent collects in Dubai, and a person quotes on WhatsApp.
Key facts
- Fuel and injection parts led our East African enquiries at 5 of 28, counting uncertain ones; among the 15 clear ones they were second, 3 to 4.
- UAE-reported 2023 exports of diesel engine parts (heading 840999) were US$479.5 million and of engine fuel, oil and coolant pumps (841330) US$116.0 million; over 98% of each was re-exported.
- In 2023 the UAE reported diesel engine parts to Kenya of US$2.47 million, to Tanzania US$2.21 million and to Uganda US$0.53 million.
- Donaldson says modern common-rail systems typically exceed 2,000 bar and that particles of 2 to 3 microns can damage them; MANN+HUMMEL cites up to 2,500 bar.
- Delphi's guide says a replacement common-rail injector is not complete until its correction code has been programmed to the vehicle.
- Kenya announced on 30 April 2026 a six-month relaxation of fuel quality rules to secure supply; we have not seen whether it was extended.
- Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda put engine parts and fuel pumps in the 10% duty band and fuel filters in the 25% band.
- A direct-injection petrol engine injects at about 20 MPa, and Toyota's 2GR-FSE of 2005 was the first to pair a port injector with a direct injector per cylinder.

Which injection parts do East African fleets ask for?
In our own enquiries from East Africa, fuel and injection parts are the group named most when uncertain enquiries are counted, 5 of 28, and second after engine internals among the 15 clear ones, 3 against 4. Earlier research reads Hiace and Isuzu N-series work trucks, with injectors and turbochargers on their lists, as the most clearly defined trade basket for Kenya and Uganda. These are small counts and our reading, not a market survey. One chat in the set asked for used injectors, the one thing we do not supply.
The family runs from the tank to the cylinder: the feed pump, the fuel filter and water separator, the high-pressure injection pump, the rail and its pressure sensor, and the injectors with their lines. Petrol engines add port or direct injectors in place of the rail. We quote each part new, with its grade and brand named. The table shows what decides the match for each, so that a buyer knows what to read off the old part before writing.
| Part | What it does | What decides the match |
|---|---|---|
| Common-rail injector | Sprays metered fuel into the cylinder, in several pulses a stroke | The number on its body and the correction code printed with it |
| High-pressure pump | Raises fuel to rail pressure | Engine code and the pump's own number |
| Rail and pressure sensor | Stores fuel under pressure; the sensor tells the engine computer the level | Engine code and part number |
| Feed pump | Moves fuel from the tank towards the high-pressure pump | Engine code and whether it sits in the tank or on the engine |
| Fuel filter and water separator | Stops dirt and water reaching the pump and injectors | Engine code, emission level, and whether it has a water sensor |
| Petrol injector | Sprays fuel into the intake port or the cylinder | Engine code, and whether the engine is port, direct or both |
Why does a common-rail injector carry its own code?
Delphi's guide to replacing a common-rail injector gives the reason in one line: each injector has individual manufacturing variations, and programming tells the vehicle what they are so it can adjust for the differences. It tells fitters to note the correction code before fitting and says the replacement is not complete until the new injector is programmed. Without that step, in Delphi's words, the whole system will not perform as intended.
The code goes by many names. Delphi's page lists trim code, compensation code, C2I, IMA, IQA and C3I, and Denso injectors on some Toyota diesels carry a QR code, which the engine pages describe. We supply the injector as the maker boxes it, with its code as printed, and we photograph the code beside the part number on request. We do not write codes to your engine computer: a workshop with the maker's tool does that, so ask what your engine needs and tell us.
Common-rail systems fire several times a stroke. Wikipedia says advanced systems perform up to five injections per stroke, from rail pressures that run past 2,000 bar, with piezoelectric injectors on some designs going up to 2,500. At that precision one badly matched injector shows as rough running on its cylinder. Ask your workshop whether an injector moved to another cylinder needs recoding. We list the cylinder count on the quote and expect a full set to be ordered together.
Which brands make injection parts, and what grades do we quote?
Wikipedia names Bosch, Delphi Technologies, Denso and Siemens VDO, now part of Continental, as the main common-rail suppliers. It dates Denso's ECD-U2 system on the Hino Ranger truck to 1995, the first successful mass-produced common-rail vehicle, and its Bosch history puts the company's first diesel injection pump in production in late 1927. Genuine here is the Toyota or Isuzu part in the carmaker's box. OE-brand is a maker such as Denso or Bosch selling under its own name. Quality aftermarket is a branded replacement made to the same pattern.
We hold no measured Dubai price for an injector, a pump or a filter, so each quote gives every grade it can supply, line by line. A reconditioned injector is a cheaper-looking alternative that we do not quote, and we quote no rebuilt pumps either. Testing and rebuilding injectors is a workshop trade of its own, and we are not part of it. A line that cannot be quoted new is left off the list, and a person tells you so on WhatsApp.
Some markets close the door on the alternative anyway. Mauritius's import regulations prohibit second-hand injector nozzles among 18 groups of second-hand parts, in the Mauritius Revenue Authority's consolidated text. A Mauritian buyer of injection parts therefore buys new. The trade rule that follows is the same everywhere: the box, the number and the code are the proof, and a photograph of all three is a fair request before you pay.
Which engines and countries come first for injection parts?
Three engine pages carry the detail for the trucks that East African fleets run: the KD diesels of older Hilux, Prado and Hiace, the GD diesels of the current Hilux and Hiace, and Isuzu's 4JJ1 and 4HK1. This page covers what they share. A single truck family can span all three kinds of injection, as the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter's engine list does, from an in-line pump through an electronic rotary pump to common rail, so one request for injection parts can become up to three different lists.
UAE customs data give only a rough size. Heading 840999, parts for diesel piston engines, and heading 841330, fuel, lubricating and cooling pumps, are broad: the first holds every diesel engine part and the second holds oil and water pumps too, so injectors and injection pumps are a share of each. Tanzania's pump value is more than two and a half times Kenya's although its engine-part value is lower. Saudi Arabia dwarfs the African figures, at US$97.5 million and US$49.7 million.
Duty is the same band across the East African tariff. Engine parts and fuel pumps pay 10% in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, in the 2022 edition updated in June 2025, while oil and petrol filters under heading 8421.23 pay 25%. Kenya adds a 2.5% import declaration fee, a 2% railway levy and 16% VAT on top. A filter-heavy list therefore carries more tax per dollar of value than an injector list, which is worth knowing when you choose what goes in the first order.
| Destination | Diesel engine parts, 840999 | Fuel, oil and coolant pumps, 841330 |
|---|---|---|
| World | 479.5 | 116.0 |
| Saudi Arabia | 97.5 | 49.7 |
| Iraq | 28.6 | 7.4 |
| Kenya | 2.47 | 0.85 |
| Tanzania | 2.21 | 2.32 |
| Uganda | 0.53 | 0.23 |
What does dirty fuel do to injectors, and what do filters need?
Filter makers put numbers on the risk, and they are makers' claims, not independent tests. Donaldson says modern fuel systems typically exceed 2,000 bar, that particles of about 2 to 3 microns can damage them, and that worn injectors and scored pumps show up as hard starting, rough idling, lost power and higher fuel use. MANN+HUMMEL, in a July 2020 release for a truck filter, cites up to 2,500 bar and says its three-stage design removes over 90 percent of water droplets from pump diesel.
That three-stage design shows what to ask for. A filter medium takes out solid dirt, a coalescer fleece merges fine water droplets into larger drops, and a hydrophobic sieve stops them entering the system, with a sensor that signals when the collected water needs draining. A filter line on our quote therefore carries the engine code, the emission level and whether the housing has a water sensor, because the same engine can take more than one filter.
Fuel quality is not ours to promise. On 30 April 2026, The Star of Malaysia reported, a Kenyan cabinet secretary announced a six-month relaxation of fuel quality rules to secure supply during the Middle East conflict. Outlets disagreed on the sulphur figure, so we quote none, and we have not seen whether the period was extended. We supply no fuel. What a buyer can control is the filter and water separator in front of the pump and the date of its last change.
How do petrol injectors differ from diesel ones?
Petrol injectors come in two kinds. A port injector sprays into the intake and a direct injector sprays into the cylinder. Wikipedia says direct-injection petrol pressure is typically limited to about 20 MPa, far below a diesel rail, and that direct injection lacks the valve-cleaning wash of port fuel, so carbon deposits can build on the intake valves. Toyota's 2GR-FSE V6 of 2005 was the first to combine both, with one low-pressure manifold injector and one high-pressure direct injector per cylinder.
An order for a petrol engine therefore states the engine code and says whether the car is port-injected, direct-injected or both, because a dual-injection V6 needs two injector numbers per cylinder. Send the number from each injector you have and a photograph of the fuel rail. A person checks the pair against the VIN, quotes each type in its own grade and brand, and counts the cylinders so that a full set is on the list.
How are injectors and pumps packed for your agent?
Injectors are small, precise and easy to contaminate. Delphi's guide tells fitters to cap exposed parts, to remove the nozzle's protective cap only just before fitting, to replace sealing washers and, ideally, to use a new high-pressure pipe. Packing follows the same logic: each injector stays in its maker's box or sealed bag with its cap on, boxes are not stacked on each other, and the injector's code stays legible on the outside of the carton.
Count per engine, not per truck. Ten four-cylinder pickups need forty injectors and ten six-cylinder trucks sixty, and the packing list shows the number per cylinder bank if the engine has two. Filters are light and bulky and pumps are heavy and dense, so a mixed list balances itself in the carton plan. Ask your agent what divisor it uses for volume, and tell it before booking if any line is not dry.
What to send for an injection-parts quote
Send the engine code from the plate, the VIN, the build month and the emission level if the plate or brochure shows it. For injectors add a photograph of the old part's number and its code. For filters say whether the housing has a water sensor, and for petrol engines say port, direct or both. Add the quantity, the country and the name of your cargo agent. Six or more parts make a list, so a fleet restock of injectors beside filters suits.
A person replies on WhatsApp with each line, its grade, brand and the number it was matched to, and marks any line that the engine code and VIN could not support together. Payment is arranged in that chat. Your agent collects in Dubai against a packing list that matches the cartons, with the commercial invoice carrying a customs code for each line and the certificate of origin stating the true origin.

UAE parts shops that export
These shops are here because our record of each one lists exporting, sending parts outside the UAE, among what it offers, and records stock that covers fuel system or their parts. It is a record of what they told us or published, not a check that they send parts to your country today or of what is on the shelf, and none of them has paid to be here. Ask how the part reaches you, and who handles the export paperwork, before you pay.

Questions buyers ask
- Do you supply reconditioned or rebuilt injectors and pumps?
- No. We export new parts only, so every injector, pump and filter we quote is Genuine, OE-brand or Quality aftermarket. Testing and rebuilding injectors is a separate workshop trade. If a line cannot be quoted new, it is left off the list and a person tells you on WhatsApp.
- Do new common-rail injectors need coding after fitting?
- Yes, according to Delphi's guide: each injector's correction code must be programmed to the vehicle, and the replacement is not complete until it is. That is workshop work at your end with the maker's tool. We supply the injector with its code as printed and can photograph the code beside the part number.
- Can you supply diesel or petrol?
- No. Fuel is not part of what we export, and nothing about fuel quality is promised on this page. We quote injection parts, filters and water separators for the engine. Kenya relaxed its fuel quality rules for six months from 30 April 2026, so a fresh filter is a sensible line.
- Why order fuel filters with injectors?
- Filters protect the part that costs most. Donaldson says particles of 2 to 3 microns can damage modern common-rail systems, and MANN+HUMMEL says water droplets cause corrosion and cavitation in injectors and the pump. These are makers' claims, but they explain why injector lists usually carry filters, which pay 25% duty in Kenya.
- Does one injector fit both the 1KD and the 2KD engine?
- Do not assume so. Injectors are matched by the number on the old part and the VIN, never by engine size alone, and a KD built to a later emissions standard can take a different injector type from an early one. The engine pages set out the detail, and a person checks your number before quoting.
- Can you quote from a Denso number alone?
- We can start from it, but we also ask for the carmaker's number, the engine code and the code on the injector. Retail listings pair one Denso number with several carmaker numbers, so the Denso number alone does not prove the fit. A person checks the set against the VIN before pricing a line.
- How many injectors should an order carry per engine?
- One per cylinder, and a full set together. Common-rail injectors are coded individually, so mixing old and new units invites rough running, and your workshop can tell you whether a moved injector needs recoding. A person counts the cylinders on your engine code and puts a full set on the quote.
- What duty do injection parts pay in East Africa?
- Engine parts and fuel pumps pay 10% in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda under the East African tariff updated in June 2025, and oil and petrol filters pay 25%. Kenya adds a 2.5% import declaration fee, a 2% railway levy and 16% VAT. Your clearing agent's assessment is the figure you pay.
