Toyota Camry and Corolla parts from Dubai: engine codes, Gulf or US spec
Updated
The quick answer
Camry and Corolla owners abroad can order new filters, brakes, suspension, cooling, engine, electrical and body parts by the list, quoted by a person on WhatsApp with the grade named on each line. The engine code decides the fit: a US-built Corolla carries a different engine from a Gulf-built one, and a Camry may be a 2.5 litre four or a 3.5 litre V6. Your cargo agent collects in Dubai. We write for Nigeria, Ghana, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Ivory Coast.
Key facts
- Saudi Arabia 2025: the Camry was the third best-selling model and the Corolla the seventh; counting the Camry Hybrid, the nameplate would lead with over 48,000 sales.
- Georgia's Service Agency counted 201,556 Toyotas, 10.5 percent of 1,912,866 registered cars in May 2025, second only to Mercedes-Benz.
- A Gulf Corolla of the 2013 to 2019 generation was built in Taiwan with a 1.6 or 2.0 litre engine; the US car carried a 1.8 litre 2ZR-FE.
- Toyota UAE's 2026 pages list one 2.5 litre four-cylinder Camry and 1.6 and 2.0 litre Corollas, and print no engine codes.
- The 2AR-FE is a 2,494 cc four, the 2GR-FE a 3,456 cc V6 and the A25A-FKS a 2,487 cc four introduced in the 2017 Camry.
- Nigeria 2024: the Federal Road Safety Corps recovered 21 Corollas and 17 Camrys among 73 stolen vehicles, and ride-hailing drivers there are moving to both.
- Ivory Coast caps imported cars at five years old, so its newest Camrys and Corollas call for genuine or quality aftermarket parts, in our reading.

Which Camry and Corolla generations are on the road abroad?
Wikipedia dates the Camry generations by plant. The XV40 ran in Japan from January 2006 to August 2011 and in the United States from February 2006. The XV50 was introduced on 23 August 2011 and built in Japan and the US to May 2017. The XV70 started in Japan in mid-2017 and in Kentucky in June 2017, and the US line stopped in April 2024. The Corolla steps are the E140 and E150 of 2006, the E170 and E180 of 2013 and the E210 of 2018.
Model years overlap these dates, and a car registered abroad can be a year or two younger than its build date, so the year on the registration card is a poor guide. The VIN and the engine code are what a person uses. The table lists the engines Wikipedia names for each step, not what a particular market received.
| Model | Built | Engines named |
|---|---|---|
| Camry XV40 | Japan January 2006 to August 2011; US from February 2006 | 2AZ-FE 2.4; 2GR-FE 3.5 V6; in the US the 2AR-FE 2.5 replaced the 2.4 in 2009 or 2010 |
| Camry XV50 | August 2011 to May 2017 in Japan and the US | 2AR-FE 2.5; 2GR-FE 3.5 V6; 2AR-FXE hybrid |
| Camry XV70 | Mid-2017 to late 2023 in Japan; June 2017 to April 2024 in the US | A25A-FKS 2.5; 2GR-FKS 3.5 V6; A25A-FXS hybrid |
| Corolla E140 and E150 | October 2006 to 2013 | 1ZR-FE 1.6 and 2ZR-FE 1.8 in several markets; 1ZZ-FE and 3ZZ-FE in Asia |
| Corolla E170 and E180 | 2013 to 2019 | 2ZR-FE 1.8 and 2ZR-FAE Valvematic in the US; 1ZR-FE 1.6 and 3ZR-FE 2.0 in the Gulf |
| Corolla E210 | From 2018 | M20A-FKS 2.0 from 2018; 2ZR-FAE 1.8; 2ZR-FXE hybrid |
What do the engine codes mean for the parts list?
The 2AR-FE is a 2,494 cc four with a 90 by 98 mm bore and stroke. Wikipedia says it first appeared in the RAV4 for the US and Canada in 2008 and replaced the 2AZ-FE in US Camrys in early 2009. The hybrid 2AR-FXE keeps the same bore and stroke but has its own cams and pistons and a compression ratio of 12.5 to 1, so a piston set cannot be assumed to cross between the petrol and the hybrid.
The 2GR-FE is a 3,456 cc V6 with Dual VVT-i and a timing chain, and Wikipedia lists it in the Camry from 2006, the Lexus ES 350 and RX 350, the Highlander and the Sienna. The 2GR-FKS, listed for the Camry from 2017, adds direct injection, so injectors and fuel-side parts belong to a different family. Many V6 numbers therefore appear under several badges, and a person checks which badge your car wears.
The Corolla engines are the 1ZR-FE, 1,598 cc, and the 2ZR-FE, 1,798 cc, which share an 80.5 mm bore and differ in stroke, 78.5 against 88.3 mm. The Valvematic 2ZR-FAE has its own compression ratio and is listed for the E170 LE Eco and the E210. The A25A-FKS, 2,487 cc with a 13.0 to 1 compression ratio, arrived in the 2017 Camry as Toyota's Dynamic Force engine, and the hybrid A25A-FXS is a separate variant.
Gulf spec or US spec: why one badge needs two parts lists
The same badge came with different engines depending on where the car was built. Wikipedia says the XV40 Camry sold in the Middle East was sourced from Toyota Australia and came only with the 2.4 litre engine, while the US-built car offered a 3.5 litre V6 and later the 2.5. For the 2013 to 2019 Corolla it says all Gulf cars came from Taiwan with a 1.6 or 2.0 litre engine, while the US car had a 1.8 litre 2ZR-FE.
That makes engine parts the first thing to match. Pistons, gasket sets, timing parts and sensors follow the engine code, not the badge, so a US-spec Corolla owner in Georgia or Nigeria and a Gulf-spec owner need different lists. Our research reads body panels and headlamps as a looser fit between the two specs, because of bumper and side-marker differences, and mechanical parts as the closer one. That is an analyst reading, so lamps and bumpers are quoted by VIN.
The current Gulf lineup is plain. Toyota UAE's 2026 Camry page lists one 2.5 litre four-cylinder with 16 valves, and its Corolla page lists 1.6 and 2.0 litre fours with no hybrid, read on 3 November 2026. Neither page prints an engine code, so a 2026 car still needs its VIN checked before parts are quoted.
Nigeria and Ghana: buyers who want new parts for these cars
Nigeria's new-car market was small in 2024, 6,358 light vehicles, with the Hilux at 27.6 percent and the Corolla in the top ten, according to Best Selling Cars Blog. The cars on the road are many more. The Federal Road Safety Corps recovered 21 Corollas and 17 Camrys among 73 stolen vehicles in 2024, BusinessDay says ride-hailing drivers are moving to the Corolla and Camry, and Nairametrics called the Camry one of the most widely preferred foreign-used sedans in January 2026.
Nairametrics separates Lagos's markets: Ladipo is known for parts taken from vehicles abroad, and the Trade Fair complex sells new, genuine parts sourced from makers in China and parts of Europe. This page is for the buyer who wants new parts for the Camry and Corolla in three named grades. Nigeria's customs-recorded imports of other vehicle parts were US$125.49M in 2023: 47 percent from Japan, 20 percent from China and 1.4 percent from the UAE.
Ghana drives on the right like Nigeria, so its cars are normally left-hand drive and Gulf or US side-specific parts suit them. Citi Newsroom puts Abossey Okai at more than 15,000 shops. Our research lists the Corolla and Camry first among the Toyotas to expect in Ghana but found no make breakdown from the licensing authority, so we give no share. Paperwork and rules for both countries are on the Nigeria and Ghana pages.
What Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Ivory Coast add
Four more markets use the same two cars for different reasons. The table sets out what each published source shows and what we read from it, in that order, so you can see exactly where a reading goes beyond the number.
| Market | What the sources show | Our reading |
|---|---|---|
| Georgia | Toyota is 10.5 percent of 1,912,866 registered cars, second to Mercedes-Benz (Service Agency, May 2025) | US-built Camrys and Corollas feed the repair trade; parts are for cars that stay in Georgia |
| Saudi Arabia | Camry third and Corolla seventh among 857,247 new vehicles in 2025; Toyota 28.6 percent | Gulf-spec cars; used parts are banned apart from a few certified assemblies, so buyers order new |
| Iraq | The Corolla is named in the 2024 model table, up 0.1 percent; 8.29 million vehicles registered | A large parc of mixed specs, so ask for the VIN before the list |
| Ivory Coast | Imported cars are capped at five years old; the UAE is the largest recorded supplier of other vehicle parts, 27 percent in 2023 | Newer cars favour genuine and quality aftermarket parts |
Which new Camry and Corolla parts are ordered by the list?
A trade list for these cars is built by system, and the same system names recur: service parts, brakes, suspension, cooling, engine, electrical and body. The table sets out the lines most often asked for and the brands our research files in the OE-brand tier for each. Those brands describe themselves as supplying carmakers but do not publish which carmaker takes which part number, so we name the brand and let the part number decide.
Trade quantities mean a list, not a part: for example a mixed list of filters, pad sets and water pumps across Camry and Corolla variants. We quote across UAE distributors and aftermarket lines, and each line says whether it is genuine, OE-brand or aftermarket. We claim no stock, since stock changes daily.
| System | Typical lines | Brands named in the research |
|---|---|---|
| Service | Oil, air and cabin filters; spark plugs; drive belts | NGK and Denso for plugs |
| Brakes | Pads and discs | Aisin and Advics |
| Suspension | Struts, links, control-arm bushes, wheel bearings | KYB, Tokico and Koyo |
| Cooling | Water pumps, radiators, thermostats | GMB and NPW for pumps |
| Engine | Gasket sets, piston and ring sets, bearings, timing parts | By engine code and part number |
| Electrical | Alternators, starters, ignition coils | By engine code and part number |
| Body and lights | Bumpers, headlamps, mirrors | Depo and TYC for lamps |
Genuine, OE-brand or aftermarket: what the Dubai ladder shows
The ladder measured in Dubai on 3 November 2026 used Toyota parts, but not a Camry or Corolla; our Land Cruiser page prints the pad table. Its ratios are the useful part. With genuine at 1.0, a Japanese-brand pad sat near 0.67, two quality aftermarket water pumps near 0.54 to 0.58, and budget pads between 0.15 and 0.23. Treat them as direction for a Camry or Corolla list, close to two to one between genuine and good aftermarket and four to one or more against budget, and not as prices.
Price is not the only difference. A budget listing in Dubai described its pad as genuine quality, so the word proves nothing by itself. For a Camry or Corolla we name the brand on every line, so a Nigerian or Georgian buyer can check each line against the part and the number on the box when it is photographed before payment.
What to send for a Camry or Corolla quote
Send the full VIN, the engine code or size, the month and year of build, and whether the car is a hybrid. Say whether you think it is Gulf spec or US spec; the VIN settles it. Add a photograph of the old part with its number, the quantity of each line, the country and the name of your cargo agent. For a hybrid, say so plainly: the petrol and hybrid engines of the same size do not share every internal part.

Questions buyers ask
- Which engine does my Camry have?
- It depends on the generation and the market. Wikipedia names the 2AZ-FE 2.4 and 2GR-FE 3.5 for the XV40, the 2AR-FE 2.5 and 2GR-FE for the XV50, and the A25A-FKS 2.5 and 2GR-FKS 3.5 for the XV70, plus hybrids. Toyota UAE lists only a 2.5 litre four for 2026. The engine code and the VIN decide.
- Is a Gulf Corolla the same as a US Corolla?
- Not for the 2013 to 2019 generation. Wikipedia says all Gulf cars came from Taiwan with a 1.6 litre 1ZR-FE or 2.0 litre 3ZR-FE, while the US car had a 1.8 litre 2ZR-FE. Engine parts follow the code, so send the VIN and a person matches against it before quoting.
- Do Camry and Lexus ES 350 parts match?
- Both used the 3.5 litre 2GR-FE V6 in the XV40 and XV50 era, and the 2GR-FKS in the 2017 Camry and the 2018 ES 350, according to Wikipedia. Engine-side numbers may therefore overlap, but trim, brakes and body parts do not. Send the part number or the VIN and a person checks.
- Can you supply Camry and Corolla parts for Nigeria?
- Yes, as new parts quoted by the list with the grade named on each line, and a person confirms how to pay on WhatsApp. Your cargo agent collects the goods in Dubai. Nigeria's paperwork is on the Nigeria page. We do not supply foreign-used parts.
- Does the hybrid Camry use the same engine parts as the petrol car?
- Not all of them. Wikipedia says the 2AR-FXE hybrid has the same bore and stroke as the 2AR-FE but its own cams and pistons, and the A25A-FXS is a separate variant of the A25A-FKS. Say whether your car is a hybrid so the quote lists the right engine parts.
- What is the A25A engine?
- It is Toyota's 2.5 litre four-cylinder introduced in the 2017 Camry. The A25A-FKS petrol makes 202 to 207 horsepower, the A25A-FXS is the hybrid version, and both appear in the RAV4 and the Lexus ES. Parts follow the code, so confirm FKS or FXS before ordering.
- Can you quote Corolla parts for Ivory Coast?
- Yes, send the list in English on WhatsApp with the VIN. The five-year age cap on imported cars means many Corollas there are recent, so we expect genuine and quality aftermarket requests. Your cargo agent collects in Dubai, and the Ivory Coast page covers the rules.
