Vitz, Probox, Fielder, Prius and Aqua parts from Dubai for export
Updated
The quick answer
We quote new parts for the Vitz and Yaris, Probox and Succeed, Corolla Axio and Fielder, Prius and Aqua, matched by Toyota part number and chassis code, for the Kenyan, Zimbabwean and Ethiopian buyers who run them. UAE yards rarely hold these Japan-market cars, so the offer is new genuine, OE-brand or aftermarket lines, never matched by model name alone. Hybrid parts are quoted except batteries. Your cargo agent collects in Dubai.
Key facts
- Wikipedia lists the 1NZ-FXE hybrid engine in the Prius from 1997, the Aqua from 2011, the Axio and Fielder Hybrid from 2013 and the Probox Hybrid.
- Japan dropped the Vitz name for Yaris in 2019, so lists for later cars may carry either name; the chassis code is what settles the part.
- Business Daily reported that Japan supplied 58,972 of the 62,495 used vehicles reaching Kenya in the year to June 2023, with the Probox and Vitz named.
- Wikipedia says Kenya banned the Probox and Sienta from minibus use in 2019 because they carried up to 14 passengers instead of five.
- A Herald report of 25 August 2024 says Toyota hybrids arriving in Zimbabwe, among them the Aqua, Axio and Prius, use nickel-metal-hydride packs that come in depleted.
- Addis Fortune reported in January 2022 that fuel pumps, brake pads and oil filters drew the most demand at Ethiopia's Toyota distributor.
- Hybrid batteries and gas-charged shock absorbers stay off export quotes because carriers can treat them as dangerous goods; arms, links and bushes are quoted.
- We measured no price for these cars on 3 November 2026, and the only Toyota ladder we hold is for a Land Cruiser pad set.

Which small Toyota is it: Vitz, Probox, Fielder, Prius or Aqua?
These five names cover a family of Japan-market Toyotas that share engines more than bodies. Wikipedia dates the Vitz from January 1999, with its third generation, the XP130, built in Japan from December 2010 to December 2019, after which Japan used the Yaris name. The Probox and Succeed vans run in two generations, 2002 to 2014 and from 2014. The Corolla Axio and Fielder, the E160 cars, were on normal sale in Japan from May 2012 to June 2019, and fleet sales continued until October 2025.
The Prius and the Aqua carry the hybrid side. The first Prius, the NHW10, was built from December 1997, and the NHW20 followed in August 2003. The Aqua, sold overseas as the Prius c, was released in Japan on 26 December 2011 and was redesigned on 19 July 2021 with a new three-cylinder engine. Because the 2021 car changed engine, a list for an Aqua means little until we know which generation: the chassis code NHP10 and the codes MXPK10 and MXPK11 are different cars.
The small petrol engines are the other split. The 1KR-FE, a 998 cc three-cylinder that Wikipedia lists for the XP90 and XP130 Vitz, is not the 1NZ-FE of the Probox and Fielder, nor the 1.3 litre 1NR-FE found in the later Probox. Our separate page on the NZ engines covers plugs, coils, gasket sets and timing chains; this page covers everything around them.
| Model | Chassis codes and years | Engines named |
|---|---|---|
| Vitz and Yaris | XP10 from 1999, XP90 from 2005, XP130 from December 2010 | 1SZ-FE, 2SZ-FE, 1KR-FE, 1NR-FE, 1NZ-FE and 2NZ-FE, by generation |
| Probox and Succeed | NCP50V, NCP51V and others 2002 to 2014; NSP160V, NCP160V and NCP165V from 2014; NHP160V hybrid | 2NZ-FE, 1NZ-FE, 1NR-FE, 1NZ-FXE |
| Corolla Axio and Fielder, E160 | NZE161, NZE164, NRE161, ZRE162 and NKE165 hybrid; normal sale 2012 to 2019 | 1NZ-FE, 2NR-FKE, 2ZR-FE, 1NZ-FXE |
| Prius | NHW10 from 1997, NHW11 from 2000, NHW20 from 2003, ZVW30 from 2009 | 1NZ-FXE; a 1.8 litre Atkinson-cycle four on the ZVW30 |
| Aqua, also the Prius c | NHP10 from December 2011; MXPK10 and MXPK11 from July 2021 | 1NZ-FXE; then the M15A-FXE three-cylinder, 1,490 cc |
Where do these cars work, and what do the sources say?
Kenya is the clearest case. Business Daily reported on 15 August 2023 that Japan supplied 58,972 of the 62,495 used vehicles Kenya received in the twelve months to June 2023, that Probox sales had surged and that small cars used for taxi-hailing were driving demand for Japanese models. A Standard headline of 29 January 2026 says Suzuki is winning Kenya's taxi market; we could not read its body, so we do not claim the taxis are all Toyota.
Rules shape the Probox's work. Wikipedia says Kenya banned the Probox and the Toyota Sienta from minibus use in 2019 because they carried up to 14 passengers instead of the five they are designed for. On the parts side, Kenyan press reports in 2019 named 17 kinds of used wear part, among them brake pads, spark plugs, bearings, clutch plates and ball joints, that must be new, and KEBS said it was banning nothing beyond those categories. For a Kenyan operator the wear parts on a Probox or Fielder are a new-parts purchase.
Zimbabwe's hybrids bring a different problem. The Herald reported on 25 August 2024 that the Aqua, Axio and Prius are among the Toyota hybrids arriving there, that their nickel-metal-hydride packs come in already depleted and that local technicians are often not versed in high-voltage systems. In April 2022 the same paper had dealers saying they did not service hybrids, in a report about the Honda Fit. Parts for the rest of the car are what we can quote.
One rule matters for any Zimbabwean list. Under Statutory Instrument 35 of 2024 a certificate of conformity is required on listed goods above US$1,000 FOB, vehicle parts under heading 87.08 included, whether new or used, and the fee, 0.5% of FOB with a minimum of US$240, falls on the exporter. When a list crosses the threshold, a person flags it on the quote so that you and your agent settle the certificate before collection.
Ethiopia's Toyota fleet is Vitz-heavy among the small cars. Addis Fortune reported in January 2022 that an importer at Qera brought mainly Vitz suspension and that his latest shipment cost 30% more than before, and that a buyer who paid about 1,500 birr for a Vitz side mirror a little over a year earlier paid close to 9,000 at the Toyota distributor. We quote suspension arms, links and bushes by number, and a mirror only against the number on the old one. A person screens every Ethiopian buyer before we quote.
Why does a Toyota part number matter more than the model name?
UAE yards rarely hold these cars, because most were built for Japan. The East Africa notes say the Probox, Fielder, Vitz and other Japan-only models are rare in the Gulf parc, and mark any overlap of the 1NZ and 2NZ engine families with the Gulf Yaris and Echo as unverified at part-number level. We therefore claim no cross-fit by model. The honest offer is new aftermarket, OE-brand and genuine lines quoted against the Toyota number on your old part.
The number on the old part is the key because aftermarket lines are catalogued against the OE number each one replaces. A person looks your number up, reads your chassis code and year against it, and tells you which line matches, which is a near match to be refused and which is dealer-only. Where a Gulf Yaris or Corolla number turns out identical to yours, the quote says so. Where it does not, we say that too, and nothing is swapped by model.
Which new parts fill a small-Toyota list, system by system?
A trade list for these cars is built from the parts that wear: brake pads and discs, suspension arms, links and bushes, ignition parts and filters, cooling parts and belts. Counted per car it is a manageable basket, and an operator running ten Probox vans orders it ten times over. A single pad set is not an order we quote. The table shows what a list can carry and what decides each line.
Two exclusions come from carriers and not from us. Gas-charged shock absorbers stay off export quotes because carriers can treat them as dangerous goods, so a Vitz suspension list carries springs, bushes, links, arms, ball joints and rack ends but not the dampers. Batteries, fluids and aerosols are left off too. Side-specific parts such as mirrors, headlamps and steering racks are quoted only against the number on the old part.
| System | What the list can carry | What decides the part |
|---|---|---|
| Brakes | Pad sets, discs, rear shoes, wheel cylinders | Chassis code, year, front or rear |
| Suspension | Control arms, links, bushes, ball joints, springs, rack ends | Chassis code and year; dampers are not quoted |
| Ignition and filters | Plugs, coils, oil, air, cabin and fuel filters | Engine code, as the NZ engine page sets out |
| Cooling | Water pump, thermostat, hoses, belts | Engine code, and whether air conditioning is fitted |
| Hybrid system, no battery | Inverter and converter assemblies, by number | Chassis code and hybrid generation |
| Body and lamps | Mirrors, headlamps, bumpers | The number on the old part only |
What can a hybrid owner order, and what do we leave out?
One engine ties the hybrids together. Wikipedia lists the 1NZ-FXE, a 1,497 cc Atkinson-cycle four, in the Prius from 1997, the Aqua from 2011, the Axio and Fielder Hybrid from 2013, the Probox Hybrid and, in Japan, the Vitz Hybrid. It says the engine was discontinued for international markets in 2020 but remains in the Probox. A hybrid-fleet list is therefore quoted by chassis code, since the same engine code sits in several different cars.
What we quote and what we do not is plain. We quote the service parts of a hybrid fleet, and non-battery hybrid components such as inverter assemblies, by Toyota number and chassis code. We do not quote hybrid traction batteries or twelve volt batteries, because carriers can treat batteries as dangerous goods. That is a real gap for Zimbabwe, where the Herald says packs often arrive depleted, and a buyer there needs a battery specialist for the pack itself.
| Car | Chassis code | Years named |
|---|---|---|
| Prius | NHW10 and NHW11; NHW20 | 1997 to 2003; 2003 to 2009 |
| Aqua and Prius c | NHP10 | 2011 to 2021 |
| Corolla Axio and Fielder Hybrid | NKE165 | 2013 to 2025 |
| Probox Hybrid, also sold as the Succeed Hybrid | NHP160V | 2018 on |
| Vitz Hybrid, Japan only | NHP130 | 2017 to 2019 |
Genuine, OE-brand or aftermarket on a small Toyota?
We measured no price for these cars on 3 November 2026. The only Toyota ladder we hold is for a Land Cruiser pad set, number 04465-60380: genuine at AED 322 to 399, a Japanese brake brand, MK Kashiyama, at AED 216, and budget brands at AED 58 to 73, all with 5% VAT. Use it as a shape and not a price, because a Vitz pad is a different part. The gap matters most to operators who buy in counts: ten vans means ten pad sets a service, and a difference per set becomes a difference per fleet.
On a quote, Genuine means Toyota-branded stock from a UAE distributor, OE-brand means a maker that also supplies Toyota, with Denso and Aisin the examples where a source says so, and Quality aftermarket means a named independent brand made to the Toyota pattern. Zimbabwe's CMED warning of August 2025 about fake parts and the 21% counterfeit prevalence the Anti-Counterfeit Authority found in Kenya both point to the same habit: ask for the brand, the number and a photograph before paying.
What to send for a small-Toyota quote, and what to check
Send the chassis code from the plate, such as NCP91, NHP10, NKE165 or NCP160V, the engine code, the month and year of build, and whether the car is petrol or hybrid. Add a photograph of the number on each old part. Then write the list per car with counts, so that a fleet of Probox vans or Aqua taxis is one list. A person replies on WhatsApp with each line's grade and brand, and flags any line checked only by chassis code.
Before paying, compare the chassis code on the quote with your plate, and check that an Aqua line names its generation, because the 2021 car has a different engine. Ask for the brand and number against every line, and a photograph of each box. Check that no battery or damper appears on the list, since neither is quoted. A person confirms how to pay in the chat, and your agent collects in Dubai.

Questions buyers ask
- Can you supply Probox and Fielder parts from Dubai?
- Yes, as new parts matched by Toyota number and chassis code. Both are Japan-market cars that UAE yards rarely hold, so a person matches each line to the number on your old part or to your chassis code, and marks on the quote any line checked only by code. Engine internals are covered on our NZ engine page.
- What engine does the Toyota Aqua have?
- The first-generation Aqua, the NHP10 built from December 2011, carries the 1,497 cc 1NZ-FXE hybrid engine, according to Wikipedia. The second generation, put on sale on 19 July 2021, has a 1,490 cc three-cylinder M15A-FXE. Give the generation or chassis code, because engine parts for one are not assumed to suit the other.
- Can I order a hybrid battery for my Prius or Aqua?
- No. Hybrid traction batteries are left off our export quotes because carriers can treat batteries as dangerous goods, and the same goes for twelve volt batteries. We quote the rest of the car by part number, including non-battery hybrid parts such as inverter assemblies, and you would need a hybrid battery specialist for the pack.
- Is the Vitz the same car as the Yaris?
- They share a nameplate: Wikipedia lists the Vitz and Yaris together through the XP10, XP90 and XP130 generations, and Japan dropped the Vitz name for Yaris in 2019. A car sold in Japan and one sold elsewhere can still differ in engine and trim, so we match by chassis code and number, not by name.
- Do you supply used Prius or Aqua half-cuts?
- No. Easy Auto exports new genuine, OE-brand and quality aftermarket parts only. We do not supply used parts, half-cuts, or rebuilt or remanufactured units for any make. What a Prius or Aqua owner can order from us is new service parts and non-battery hybrid components, quoted by number and chassis code.
- Why must Kenyan operators order new brake pads and spark plugs?
- Kenyan press reports in 2019 named 17 kinds of used wear part, among them brake pads, spark plugs, bearings, clutch plates and ball joints, that must be new, while KEBS said it was banning nothing beyond those categories. We export only new parts, so a Kenyan list for a Probox or Fielder is not caught by that rule.
- Does Zimbabwe need a certificate for a parts order?
- Possibly. Statutory Instrument 35 of 2024 requires a certificate of conformity on listed goods above US$1,000 FOB, vehicle parts under heading 87.08 included, new or used, with a fee of 0.5% of FOB and a US$240 minimum charged to the exporter. A person flags a list that crosses the threshold; confirm the detail with your agent.
- What is the minimum order for Vitz and Probox parts?
- We quote by the list at trade quantities, not for one or two pieces. Put the pads, arms, bushes, filters and plugs for the whole fleet in one WhatsApp message, with a chassis code for each car, and a person tells you whether the list is the right size to quote.
- Can an Ethiopian buyer order Vitz suspension parts?
- Yes, once a person has screened the buyer. We quote control arms, links, bushes, ball joints and rack ends by Toyota number, and we do not quote gas-charged dampers. Your own cargo agent collects in Dubai, and the Ethiopia page covers the rules that apply on the way in.
