Ford Explorer, Escape, Fusion, Taurus, Ranger and F-150 parts from Dubai
Updated
The quick answer
Trade buyers in Georgia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iraq can send a list of new parts for Ford Explorers, Escapes, Fusions, Tauruses, Rangers and F-150s. The badge hides different cars in different markets, so each line needs the VIN and the part number. A person quotes on WhatsApp, line by line, and names the grade: Ford or Motorcraft genuine, OE-brand or quality aftermarket. Your own cargo agent collects in Dubai.
Key facts
- Ford is 9.4 percent of Georgia's registered cars, 178,983 of 1,912,866 in May 2025, the third make there behind Mercedes-Benz and Toyota.
- Ford ranked fourth by brand in both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in 2025, with the Taurus eighth among Saudi models and the Territory sixth in Kuwait.
- The United States supplied 16.6 percent of Kuwait's USD 338.4 million of 2023 car-part imports by origin, second only to Japan's 19.1 percent.
- Wikipedia records three different Tauruses: the Chicago car of 2010 to 2019, a Chinese-built one in the Middle East from 2016, and a Mondeo badged Taurus since 2022.
- The GCC Escape ran from 2021 to 2022 with a 1.5 litre turbo engine; the Territory replaced it and is a different car.
- Ford numbers in the older style look like AA5Z-6714-A, and the same oil filter is sold as Motorcraft FL-500-S, so two numbers can name one part.
- The 2015 to 2020 F-150 has an almost entirely aluminium body on a steel frame, so body-panel lines are quoted by exact model year.
- Iraq's customs authority approved imports of damaged American cars in June 2020, and local dealers warned that it would raise spare-parts consumption.

Which Ford do you have? The same badge means different cars
Ford sells different cars under one name in different markets, and the parts follow the car, not the name. Of the Tauruses Wikipedia describes, three matter to our buyers: the Chicago-built sixth generation, which ended on 1 March 2019; a Chinese-built Taurus sold in China and the Middle East from 2016; and, since 2022, the Mondeo marketed in the Middle East as the Taurus. A Taurus in Riyadh and a Taurus in Tbilisi may therefore be different cars, and the VIN tells the desk which one it is.
The Fusion and Escape tell the same story. The Fusion of 2013 to 2020 was built at Hermosillo in Mexico, and in the Middle East it was sold beside the Mondeo with the 2.5 litre engine only, no V6. The Escape reached the GCC in 2021 with a 1.5 litre turbo engine in two grades and was dropped in 2022, indirectly replaced by the Territory. A Mercury Mariner, a rebadged first-generation Escape, was also sold in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE.
| Model | North American car | Middle East version |
|---|---|---|
| Explorer | U502 from 2011 to 2019, then U625 from 2020, both built in Chicago | The 2012 car came in several trims, all with a 3.5 litre V6 and an automatic, front-wheel drive as the base in some GCC markets |
| Escape | 2013 to 2019, built at Louisville, Kentucky | GCC Escape from 2021 to 2022, replaced by the Territory |
| Fusion | 2013 to 2020, built at Hermosillo, Mexico | Sold beside the Mondeo with the 2.5 litre engine only |
| Taurus | 2010 to 2019, built in Chicago, last car on 1 March 2019 | A Chinese-built Taurus from 2016, and a Mondeo-based Taurus since 2022 |
| Ranger | T6 from 2011 to 2022 and P703 from 2022, built in Thailand, South Africa and Argentina among other plants | Middle East launch on 9 May 2023 with a 2.0 litre diesel and 2.3 and 3.0 litre petrol engines |
| F-150 | Thirteenth generation, 2015 to 2020, built at Dearborn and Kansas City | Wikipedia's article does not cover the Gulf |
Which engines do these Fords carry?
The engine family is the first filter on a parts list. Wikipedia names the 2011 to 2019 Explorer with 2.0 and 2.3 litre EcoBoost fours, a 3.5 litre Duratec V6 and a twin-turbo 3.5 EcoBoost V6 that came only with all-wheel drive. The 2013 to 2020 Fusion had a 2.5 litre Duratec as its base engine, with 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0 litre EcoBoost fours above it. The sixth-generation Taurus had a 3.5 Duratec, the 365 horsepower 3.5 EcoBoost in the SHO and, later, a 2.0 EcoBoost.
The F-150 of 2015 to 2020 offered a 3.5 EcoBoost, a 5.0 litre Coyote V8, a 2.7 EcoBoost, a 3.5 Cyclone V6 until 2017 and a 3.3 litre V6 from 2018. Its body is nearly all aluminium on a steel frame whose high-strength steel share rose from 23 to 77 percent. The Ranger T6 ran 2.2 and 3.2 litre Duratorq diesels and a 2.5 litre Duratec petrol, with a 2.0 EcoBlue diesel and 2.3 EcoBoost petrol added from 2019. A Ranger with the 3.2 litre five-cylinder diesel and one with the 2.0 EcoBlue share a model name, not an engine.
Where do these Fords run, and who is asking?
Georgia: Ford is the third make in the register, with 178,983 of 1,912,866 cars, 9.4 percent, in May 2025. The research reads that rank, beside Mercedes and BMW, as the mark of the damaged-American-car repair trade, and names the Fusion and Escape among the likely cars. That is an inference, as no source counts Ford models in Georgia. If it is right, the cars are North American builds, the Fusion from Hermosillo and the Escape from Louisville, with North American part numbers.
Kuwait: Ford was the fourth brand in 2025 new-car sales, behind Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi, and the Territory, which replaced the Escape there, was the sixth-best-selling model. The American signal is in the trade data: the United States supplied 16.6 percent of Kuwait's USD 338.4 million of 2023 car-part imports by origin, second to Japan's 19.1 percent. Kuwait Times reported in July 2026 that dealers were keeping genuine parts such as filters for their own workshops, which is the gap a trade quote from Dubai addresses.
Saudi Arabia: Ford ranked fourth by brand in 2025 among 857,247 new cars, and the Taurus was the eighth-best-selling model. A Saudi Taurus from 2022 onward is, per Wikipedia, the Mondeo-based car, so a Chicago Taurus part number may not fit it. The research expects few US-spec cars on Saudi roads but found no figure. Saudi Arabia's SASO regulation for new auto spare parts covers lamps, radiators, filters, glass, mirrors, brakes and suspension, so the importer's paperwork matters for those lines.
Iraq and Kenya: Ford is named in 2 of the 8 clear Iraqi enquiries, in a market whose new-car lists are led by Toyota and Kia. Iraq's customs authority approved imports of damaged American cars in June 2020, and dealers objected that it would raise spare-parts consumption, which is the likely source of American-built Ford demand there. One of Kenya's clear enquiries asked for Ranger parts, a truck Wikipedia lists as built in Thailand, South Africa and Argentina among other sites.
Which new Ford parts get ordered, and how are they numbered?
Ford's older-style numbers look like AA5Z-6714-A: a prefix, a base number and a suffix. Motorcraft, the parts brand Ford launched in 1972 to replace Autolite, uses short model numbers instead, such as FL-500-S for an oil filter, and retailer listings cross-reference the two, in this case to the Ford number AA5Z-6714-A. A line that shows both numbers is easier to match than one that shows only a model name.
The table lists the families the desk can quote for these cars, with a note on what each depends on. The Georgian repair trade needs crash parts, on the research's reading, so collision lines come first for the Chicago and Hermosillo cars. Wear lines suit the Ranger and F-150 fleets, and the engine families above decide the gasket, timing and ignition lines.
| System | Lines quoted | What it depends on |
|---|---|---|
| Collision | Bumper covers and reinforcements, headlamps, grilles, bonnets, wings | F-150 panels from 2015 to 2020 are almost all aluminium |
| Cooling | Radiators, condensers, fans, water pumps, thermostats | UAE dealer guides say GCC-spec cars carry larger radiators, so match by VIN |
| Brakes | Pads, discs, calipers | Kuwait's conformity list has named brake pads since 2011 |
| Suspension and steering | Control arms, ball joints, bushings, links, tie rods | Steering racks are side-specific, so they are quoted by part number only |
| Engine | Gasket sets, timing parts, water and oil pumps | The engine code, such as 3.5 Duratec or 2.0 EcoBoost |
| Ignition and fuel | Coils, spark plugs, injectors, fuel pumps | Kuwait Times reported fuel pumps scarce in July 2026 |
| Electrical | Alternators, starters, sensors | Engine code and VIN |
| Filters | Oil, air and cabin filters | Kuwait's list has named oil filters since 2011; ask for the distributor invoice on genuine lines |
Genuine Ford, OE-brand or aftermarket for these models?
Genuine for a Ford means Ford or Motorcraft packaging. Motorcraft is Ford's own brand, and Wikipedia says Ford often has contract manufacturers make Motorcraft versions to its quality standard. OE-brand means the part maker's own box on a part that maker also supplies to carmakers. Quality aftermarket means independent brands. We have not measured a Dubai price ladder for Ford, and the only one we hold is for Toyota parts, so we state no ratio for Ford. Each quote names the grade and the brand, and sets the grades side by side where more than one exists.
In the 53 Gulf-region enquiries we hold, 34 used no grade word; genuine words appeared in 12 and aftermarket words in 4, two of them rejecting aftermarket. Kuwait's shortage points the same way. Kuwait Times reported in July 2026 that batteries and tyres were among the most affected items and that fuel pumps had gone entirely, so a genuine line that exists may beat a cheaper one that does not. Filter lines need care in every grade, because fakes concentrate there: ask for the distributor invoice on any genuine filter.
What to send for a Ford quote, and what to check before you pay
Send one line per part with the VIN, the Ford or Motorcraft number from the old part, the engine code from the label, the quantity and the grade. For an Explorer say whether it is front-wheel or all-wheel drive, since the 2.0 EcoBoost came only with front-wheel drive and the 3.5 EcoBoost only with all-wheel drive. For a Taurus say where the car was sold: a 2019 Chicago car and a 2023 Gulf-market car need different parts.
Before paying, match the full prefix, base number and suffix on the box to your list, not the base number alone, and check that the brand on the box is the brand on your quote line. For a right-hand-drive Ranger, filters, brakes and suspension are quoted by part number, and steering racks and dashboard parts are quoted by part number only.
The same end-use question applies to a Georgian Ford: the desk asks where the car is registered and declines parts for a car heading on to Russia, Belarus or Central Asia. Kuwait adds a local step, as only Kuwaiti importers or registered Kuwaiti brokers can clear goods, and Saudi Arabia expects its SABER paperwork from the importer. Your broker confirms both before the parts leave Dubai.

UAE parts shops that export
These shops are here because our record of each one lists exporting, sending parts outside the UAE, among what it offers, and names Ford among the makes it covers. It is a record of what they told us or published, not a check that they send parts to your country today or of what is on the shelf, and none of them has paid to be here. Ask how the part reaches you, and who handles the export paperwork, before you pay.

Questions buyers ask
- Is the Ford Taurus in Saudi Arabia the same car as the Chicago-built Taurus?
- Not from 2022. Wikipedia lists a Taurus for the Middle East from 2022 that is a rebadged Mondeo, and says a Chinese-built Taurus was sold in China and the Middle East from 2016. The Chicago-built sixth generation ended on 1 March 2019. Send the VIN and the model year so the desk quotes the right car.
- Which Ford replaced the Escape in the Gulf?
- Per Wikipedia, the Escape launched in the GCC in 2021 with a 1.5 litre turbo engine in two grades, was discontinued in 2022 and was indirectly replaced by the Territory. The Territory is a different car, so an Escape part number is not a Territory part number unless the desk confirms the match from the VIN.
- Do you quote Motorcraft parts?
- Motorcraft is Ford's own parts brand, launched in 1972, and we quote it as the genuine grade where a UAE distributor holds it. Availability is for a person to check on WhatsApp, and we publish no stock. Send the Ford number or the Motorcraft model number, such as FL-500-S, and the desk matches the two.
- How big does a Ford order have to be?
- Export orders are quoted by the list, at trade quantities, so one or two parts is not what the desk is built for. Send every Ford number you need in one message, with a quantity against each line. Mixed lists covering several models and several grades are welcome, and each line is quoted separately.
- What engines did the 2015 to 2020 F-150 offer?
- Wikipedia lists a 3.5 EcoBoost, a 5.0 litre Coyote V8, a 2.7 EcoBoost, a 3.5 Cyclone V6 until 2017 and a 3.3 litre V6 from 2018. A 3.0 Power Stroke diesel was sold for commercial and fleet trims from 2018 to 2020. Send the engine code from the label so the desk quotes the right gasket and ignition lines.
- Do Ranger parts differ between the UAE and East Africa?
- The Ranger is built at several plants, among them Rayong, Silverton and General Pacheco, and its engines changed in 2019 and again with the 2022 generation. Filters, brakes and suspension for a right-hand-drive truck are quoted by part number. Steering racks and dashboard parts are side-specific, so they are quoted by part number only.
- Can a foreign buyer clear Ford parts in Kuwait?
- Not alone. The US Commercial Service guide says only Kuwaiti importers or Kuwait-based brokers registered with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry can clear goods. Duty is 5 percent of CIF value on most goods and Kuwait has no VAT. Brake pads, batteries and oil filters are on the conformity list, so your broker checks those lines first.
- How does the desk check where a Georgian order ends up?
- A person asks where the car is registered and who your cargo agent is. An order for a car or consignment heading on to Russia, Belarus or Central Asia is declined, because US guidance names Georgia as a transshipment point and US export controls on Russia reach most vehicle parts. Parts for cars staying in Georgia are quoted as normal.
