The quick answer

Body parts are where the arithmetic of buying used is starkest: a used bumper typically costs AED 250 to 900 against AED 800 to 3,000 at the agency, and a used panel that already carries your factory colour code can skip AED 300 to 800 of paint. Quality aftermarket, mainly Taiwan-made lamps and panels, splits the difference at roughly 30 to 60 per cent below agency. Three things get you a correct part first time: your VIN, your paint code from the plate in the door jamb, and a photo of the damage. Airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and crash sensors are the exception and must always be bought new.

The paint code is the cheapest saving in the whole repair

Your paint code is stamped on the VIN plate, usually in the driver's door jamb or under the bonnet. It is three or four characters, and it is the difference between a repair that needs a paint booth and one that does not.

A used panel taken from a donor car in the same factory colour goes on as it is. Painting a panel properly in the UAE typically costs AED 300 to 800, more for pearls and tri-coats, so on a two-panel repair the colour code is worth more than the discount on the parts themselves. Give it on every request, not only when asked, and a yard that has the panel in the wrong colour will tell you before you drive out.

Two honest caveats. Sun fading is real on cars that live outdoors here, so a panel in the correct code from a garaged donor can still read slightly different against your bonnet in daylight; a good body shop blends the adjacent panel to hide it. And metallics and pearls are harder to match than solids, which is another reason the same-code used panel wins on those colours specifically.

Genuine, aftermarket or used, panel by panel

Used genuine is the smart default for anything visible and structural-light: bumpers, doors, bonnets, wings, tailgates and mirrors. It is the real factory part, it fits the way the factory part fits, and it costs a fraction of the agency price.

Quality aftermarket wins on lighting for common cars. The established Taiwan-made lamp brands are new, certified and typically AED 250 to 900 for a halogen unit against AED 600 to 2,500 at the agency, and they are what the trade fits as a matter of routine. The exception is adaptive LED lighting on premium cars: there, compare a tested used genuine lamp against the copy, because the used original is usually the better light and often not much dearer.

Agency new earns its price in two places. Parts where fit tolerance is visible, because some brands' bumper copies never sit flush along the wing line however carefully they are fitted, and safety restraint parts, always. It is also the right answer when an insurer's terms require it.

One category deserves naming separately: structural parts. A radiator support, chassis leg, inner wing or crash beam from a donor car has already absorbed an impact you did not see. Buy those new, or buy them from a supplier who will tell you which side of the donor car was hit.

Facelifts, the VIN, and the photo that saves a second trip

Body parts are the most model-year sensitive parts on a car. Manufacturers change bumpers, grilles, lamps and sometimes wings mid-generation at a facelift, so a part sold as fitting your model can be right for three of its seven production years. The model name is not enough and neither, on its own, is the year.

The VIN pins the exact production window and the exact trim, which is why every serious counter here works from it. Send the VIN, the paint code and a photograph of the damaged part in the same message and you will usually get a part number, a price and a stock answer back before you have decided whether to drive out.

Photograph the mounting points as well as the damage. Bumper brackets, headlamp lugs and mirror connectors are the parts that break in a low-speed impact and the parts a yard will quietly sell you without, and a bumper with a snapped bracket is a bumper that will sit proud on one side for the rest of the car's life. Ask specifically whether the brackets and clips are included and intact.

Ask for the part number in writing on the invoice too. It is your evidence if the part does not fit, and most established shops will exchange against an invoice within a few days. Confirm the exchange window before paying, and confirm it especially on lighting, which is often sold no-return once the connector has been plugged in.

What must never be bought used, and the paperwork around a repair

Airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and crash sensors are single-use safety parts and must be bought new. A deployed and repacked airbag is not a saving, it is a gamble with the one component whose job is to work correctly once. Reputable yards here will not sell them used, and a seller who offers has told you what else they are willing to do.

Beyond the parts themselves, accident repair in the UAE runs on the police report. Insurers require it and body shops will normally ask for it before starting work on accident damage, so get it at the scene rather than trying to reconstruct it afterwards. Which colour of report you hold determines who pays, and that in turn usually determines whether the parts decision is yours or your insurer's.

It is worth knowing which repair your policy actually buys. Comprehensive policies here are commonly sold either with agency repair, meaning the manufacturer's workshop and genuine parts, or with garage repair at a non-agency network. On a non-agency claim, and on any repair you are funding yourself, the choice between genuine, aftermarket and used panels is yours to make, which is exactly when the price differences above start to matter.

Finally, keep the invoices with part numbers. On a car you intend to sell in this market, being able to show what was replaced and with what is worth real money, and it is the difference between a repaired car and a car with an unexplained history.

Body parts prices in the UAE (2026)

Typical UAE ranges for the parts most often needed after minor accident damage, held identical to the bands published on our body-parts guide so the two pages cannot drift apart. These are indicative market ranges for common cars, not quotes, and unpainted unless stated.

Front bumper, unpaintedused; agency AED 800 – 3,000AED 250 – 900
Headlamp, halogenquality aftermarket; agency AED 600 – 2,500AED 250 – 900
Headlamp, LED or adaptivetested used genuine usually beats the copyAED 700 – 3,000
Wing mirror, poweredused; agency AED 500 – 2,500AED 150 – 700
Door shell or bonnetused; agency AED 1,200 – 4,500AED 400 – 1,500
Painting a panelavoided entirely by a used panel in your colour codeAED 300 – 800
Airbags, pretensioners, crash sensorssingle-use safety parts; never buy these usedNew only

We do not publish a figure for what comparing suppliers saves against an agency estimate, because we have not measured it. What the table does show is that the used and aftermarket bands sit well below the agency ones on every line. Send the VIN, the paint code and a photo to two or three suppliers at once and find out what your own repair costs before you commit to it.

Auto body parts supplier in Sharjah — FAQs

How many auto body parts supplier businesses are there in Sharjah?
Easy Auto lists 29 auto body parts supplier businesses in Sharjah, UAE — each with ratings, reviews, opening hours and contact details.
What is a top-rated auto body parts supplier in Sharjah?
Octained Trading LLC is among the highest-rated, with 4.9★ from 60 Google reviews.
How do I choose the best auto body parts supplier in Sharjah?
Compare the Easy Auto Score on each listing — it blends real Google ratings, review volume and profile completeness — then check opening hours and contact the business directly from its page.
How much is a used bumper in the UAE?
Typically AED 250 to 900 unpainted for common cars, against AED 800 to 3,000 at the agency. A used bumper already in your factory colour code can skip painting entirely; otherwise budget AED 300 to 800 to paint one properly.
Where do I find my paint code?
On the VIN plate, usually in the driver's door jamb or under the bonnet. It is three or four characters. Send it with every parts request: it lets yards offer same-colour panels, which is often a bigger saving than the discount on the part itself.
Are aftermarket headlights any good?
The established Taiwan-made brands are the trade standard: new, certified and typically AED 250 to 900 for a halogen unit against AED 600 to 2,500 at the agency. For adaptive LED lamps on premium cars, compare a tested used genuine unit against the copy, because the original is usually the better light.
Can I buy a used airbag?
No, never. Airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and crash sensors are single-use safety parts and must be bought new. Reputable yards will not sell them used, and one that offers to should not be trusted with the rest of the repair either.
How do I make sure a body part fits my car?
Send your VIN with a photo of the damaged part. Facelifts change bumpers, lamps and grilles mid-generation, so the model name and even the year are not enough. Photograph the mounting points too, and ask whether the brackets and clips are included.
Do I need a police report to repair accident damage?
In practice yes. Insurers require it and UAE body shops normally ask for it before starting work on accident damage, so obtain it at the scene rather than afterwards. Which report you hold determines who pays, and often whether the parts decision is yours or your insurer's.
What is the cheapest way to fix minor accident damage?
Used genuine panels in your colour code, quality aftermarket lamps, and an independent body shop for fitting and any paint. Send one request carrying the VIN, the paint code and photos to several suppliers at once: the used and aftermarket bands sit well below the agency ones on every part, and comparing them is what tells you the real number for your car.
