KAVACA is the automotive film brand of Ceramic Pro, the coatings company. Ceramic Pro describes it as its line of automotive performance films and says the name comes from Sanskrit, where it means armour. The brand covers two quite different things: paint protection film and window tint. It is sold inside the Ceramic Pro dealer system rather than as an independent film label, which shapes both how you buy it and how the warranty works.

The PPF is described as a high-performance aliphatic polyurethane film made to protect painted surfaces from abrasion, corrosion, chemicals and other physical damage. Aliphatic polyurethane is the standard construction for a serious PPF, so that is table stakes. What Ceramic Pro puts forward as the difference is the chemistry either side of it: a nanotechnology-infused top coat on the surface, and a nano-infused adhesive underneath.

The naming is the confusing part, because the international site and the UAE site do not list an identical set. Treat the product name as the thing to pin down on your quote, not the word KAVACA on its own.

This needs reading carefully, because Ceramic Pro publishes more than one figure. On its international site the company states that it warrants KAVACA to be free of manufacturer defects for a lifetime from the date of purchase, and that this warranty requires annual inspections; if an inspection is missed it becomes a 12-year warranty dated from the last inspection. The Ceramic Coated film is separately marketed as a 12-year limited warranty.

On Ceramic Pro Dubai, the Instant Healing film is published with a limited 7-year warranty. So the headline term you read on a US page is not necessarily the term you are being sold in the UAE. Ask for the number of years in writing, on the invoice, against the specific product name.

The named defects are yellowing, bubbling, staining, cracking and material failure. Excluded are damage from normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents and misapplication. Claims have to be reported to the Ceramic Pro agent within 30 days of the problem occurring, which is a short window: if you notice lifting or a stain, raise it immediately rather than waiting for the next service. Ceramic Pro records the warranty against a vehicle history report and says it transfers to the next owner, but that reporting service is a North American one, so in the UAE ask how your record is actually held and how a buyer would verify it.

The claims that translate best to the Gulf are the surface ones. Ceramic Pro describes the top coat as extremely hydrophobic and says contamination such as bird droppings, bug residue and tree sap can be removed without harsh chemicals. In a climate where a car gets dust every day and washing is frequent, a slick top surface reduces how hard you have to scrub, which is where most swirl marks are actually created.

Instant healing without applied heat is a genuine convenience claim, though ambient UAE heat means most self-healing films activate anyway for much of the year. More relevant is yellowing: it is one of the defects named in the warranty, and UV is what drives it. Ceramic Pro Dubai specifically frames the ION film UV resistance as being about preventing yellowing in the local climate.

The gap is thickness. Because no micron figure is published for any KAVACA PPF, you cannot put it beside a competitor on a spec sheet and judge impact resistance on paper. If that comparison matters to you, ask the installer for the manufacturer data sheet for the exact product before committing.

Ceramic Pro states that KAVACA is installed through its Elite Dealer locations by trained technicians working in a controlled environment. In the UAE the official regional operation is Ceramic Pro Dubai, trading as Kavaca and Ceramic Pro Auto Detailing Services LLC and based in Al Quoz Industrial Area 2. If a workshop quotes KAVACA, ask where it sources film from and whether it is an authorised dealer.

Then handle the paperwork properly, because with this brand the paperwork is the warranty. Get the exact product name and the term in years on the invoice, confirm the registration is filed against your VIN, and diarise the annual inspection. The inspection requirement is the single most likely reason cover is reduced later, and it is entirely within your control.
